Don't Know What To Draw?
I have come across this problem a lot. When it comes to ideas, there can be many. Some people may say that some ideas are cliche because so many people are drawing the same thing. However, that is hardly the case. If you have trouble on finding what to draw, think about what interests you and think about it in a different way.
Inspiration
"If you come across a problem, see it through a different angle."
Some things people might draw include:
Nature/flowers/Natural Phenomenon
Buildings
Everyday life
Animals
Dragons/Mythical creatures
Doodles/Patterns
There are different things you could do. You could do a negative space drawing, which focuses on the spaces between (an) object(s), draw the texture of the object, or do an abstract artwork, which can reflect the atmosphere of a piece of music, instead of a positive form of artwork. There are different styles and different skills, such as two-point perspective that can also be incorporated. Using different ways of shading when using pencil, such as smudging the pencil lead, blurring the different lead layers to create different tones, or just varying the pressure placed on the pencil to create a gradient, are useful skills for different pieces of art. Painting requires a bit of work when shading, but it involves carefully blending the colors to create a gradient.
Good Luck!
